Plans for student recovery program take shape

The Athens News - This Thursday, Dr. Kitty Harris, the director for the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery, and Dr. Matthew Russell, associate director of the center’s Replication Project from Texas Tech University, are visiting OU to speak with the Division of Student Affairs and meet with students. Harris and Russell are expected to present to OU the history and purpose of their successful program at Texas Tech University.

Since 2009 the Treatment and Recovery Subcommittee of the CARDD (Coalition Advocating Responsible Drinking Decisions) Committee at Ohio University has worked to draft a proposal to form a collegiate recovery community at OU in order to support students in recovery from drug and alcohol addictions.
