WHAT: Lubbock Lake National Historic Landmark hosts Paleoindian events.

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 19-20)

WHERE: Lubbock Lake Landmark, 2202 Landmark Drive at North Loop 289 and U.S. 84.

EVENT: The Life on the Plains Series will host its second event beginning with a family day for all ages from  10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 19).       

 The topic of this series will be “Paleoindians: First Peoples,” focusing on the hunter/gatherers of the area.   Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in some hands-on activities.

Young adults to adults are invited to “Discover…Paleoindians” from 2-4 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 20) The event will include a presentation on ancient Paleoindian territories and landscapes.
