Hospitality Services Director Receives Honorary Doctorate

The award is presented to leaders who have given their time to the foodservice industry.

Texas Tech director of hospitality services, Samuel Bennett, recently received an honorary Doctorate of Foodservices medallion at the 2011 North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) Show in Orlando, Fla. This award is presented each year to leaders who have given their time and energy to the foodservice industry.

Bennett also serves as assistant vice president for enrollment management and student affairs and has more than 35 years of service with Texas Tech. He has been involved with college and food service associations for more than 25 years and strives to make the campus lead the rest of the nation in university food service.
