The Cap Times - As for the sun’s role in global warming, experts including Katharine Hayhoe, a climate scientist from Texas Tech who also happens to be an evangelical Christian, point out that the sun’s energy has decreased slightly over the past few decades.

Ron Johnson told a Milwaukee newspaper in August that he doesn’t believe the science of human-caused climate change is proven. Sun spots, Johnson famously said, are far more likely to blame for global warming. In an earlier interview, he described people who believed humans were responsible for climate change as “crazy.”
