SAN ANGELO, Texas — A Midland-based foundation is donating $1 million to Angelo State University to found an endowed chair in agriculture.
The endowed chair is the second funded by the Davidson foundation and contributes to the “Campaign for Angelo State University,” the $25 million capital campaign that is part of the larger $1 billion campaign for all components of the Texas Tech University System.
“We appreciate all that the Davidson Charitable Foundation has done for Angelo State and the Texas Tech University System,” Kent Hance, chancellor of the Texas Tech University System, said. “Gifts like this provide the university with an unprecedented opportunity to attract excellent faculty, as well as continue our growth and maintain our leadership position in agriculture teaching, research and development.”
