President Bailey Reaches Out to Colleague at Iowa State

Heavy rains have wreaked havoc on the ISU campus in Ames, Iowa.

Double T

Iowa State University was closed Thursday because parts of campus are under several feet of flood water. The area received three days of heavy rain this week, causing the South Skunk River and Squaw Creek to jump their banks and invade campus, according to the Iowa State Daily.

In response, President Guy Bailey sent the following letter to the president of Iowa State University today.

Dear Dr. Geoffroy,

The Texas Tech family is thinking of our friends and colleagues at Iowa State as you deal with the damage and disruption caused to your campus by this week’s flooding.

We are keeping you and your campus community in our thoughts and prayers as you recover. Texas Tech stands ready to offer any assistance you may need.

Sincerely,

Guy Bailey
President
Texas Tech University
