Panhandle's green economy comes to life

Amarillo Globe News -- Houston foundation presented a report Monday that touts investment in Texas' renewable energy to create jobs and clean up the air, and in the bright and breezy Panhandle, solar and wind development is a natural.


While there are four or five moderate-sized wind farms in the area and more smaller ones, there is also activity in schools - research at West Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University, and technician-training classes at Amarillo College.
