Board of Regents Hear FY 2011 Budget Reports

The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents’ Finance and Administration Committee today (Aug. 5) approved the 2011 operating budgets.

The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents’ Finance and Administration Committee today (Aug. 5) approved the 2011 operating budgets for the Texas Tech University System Administration, Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Angelo State University.

Final approval of the budget by the full board will come Friday (Aug. 6).

The total operating budget for the system for FY 2011, which runs from Sept.1, 2010 to Aug. 31, 2011, is $1.4 billion, up $43.7 million over last year’s budget.

Budget highlights are as follows:

TTU System Administration

  • Total operating budget is $16,771,931, down from $16,849,180 last fiscal year, a decrease of $77,249.

Texas Tech University

  • Total operating budget is $660,474,298, up from $622,752,853 last fiscal year, an increase of $37,721,445 or 6.06 percent.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

  • Total operating budget is $684,187,334, up from $676,167,142 last fiscal year, an increase of $8,020,192 or 1.19 percent.

Angelo State University

  • Total operating budget is $105,499,891, up from $97,998,558 last fiscal year, an increase of $7,501,333 or 7.65 percent.

Total Budget

  • $1,459,484,392 for FY 2011 up from $ 1,415,692,817 last fiscal year, an increase of $43,791,575 or 3.09 percent.
