Texas Tech appoints vice chancellor to lead fundraising in San Antonio

The Texas Tech University System has hired an assistant vice chancellor for the San Antonio region to help boost alumni giving in the area.

Texas Tech hired Tom Galvin, previously the vice president of development for St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, to lead development efforts for San Antonio. This is a newly created position. Galvin has more than 25 years of experience working in higher education and nonprofit fundraising. While at St. Mary’s, Galvin helped secure a $25 million gift to the university.
