SUPREME COURT: A lack of diversity?

WASHINGTON — A Jewish woman may replace the sole Protestant on the Supreme Court.

The possible lack of a Protestant on the court for the first time is a controversial issue for some, but a San Angelo man of faith doesn’t think there should be a religious litmus test for any government official.


Texas Tech University law professor Arnold Loewy said he couldn’t see how religion is even remotely relevant to what the justices do.
