A town hall meeting to discuss the new Responsibility Center Management (RCM) initiative is set for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday (May 4) in the Human Sciences Building, room 169. The meeting is open to all faculty, staff and students.

President Guy Bailey and RCM Council co-chair Ron Mitchell, Bagley Regents Chair and professor of management and entrepreneurship, will host the meeting.

Texas Tech is in the beginning stages of implementing RCM. The meeting will present an overview of the system and answer questions.

Responsibility Center Management is a decentralized approach to budgeting and management that give incentives to individual colleges to make decisions rather than central administrators who are further removed from the individual situations. It also places the responsibility for those budget decisions with the individual decision-makers.
