As oil began washing onto Louisiana shores Friday from the exploded Gulf of Mexico oil rig, questions have emerged as to how this spill will impact the ecology of the Gulf and the Gulf States.
Ron Kendall is director of The Institute of Environmental and Human Health at Texas Tech University. He can discuss the toxic effects of oil on birds, reptiles, shrimp, fish and other wildlife. He was a part of the assessment for the Exxon Valdez as well as other oil spill issues.
