Improv Everywhere brings Texas Tech students together

Students stopped and watched as they walked from one class to another. In the center of the Texas Tech’s Engineering Key, stood a group of about 50 students dressed in bright colored t-shirts. Together, they listened to their headphones waiting for instructions.  

“Five…four…three…two…one,” a voice shouted. And they all began waving.  

The hour-long show was an effort by Improv Everywhere, a New York City-based group that puts on good-natured pranks. The performance at Texas Tech was a part of Improv Everywhere’s college tour and the group's first performance in Texas.
