Education summit focuses on future of young Hispanics

Nothing less than a full-scale effort across the educational spectrum will help Hispanic students achieve the same academic success as their white counterparts, some of the region’s top educators said April 1.

A who’s who of notable teachers, administrators and advocates converged in Lubbock, Texas, at to sculpt a renewed approach to improving the stagnant college graduation rates of the nation’s fastest growing minority group.
