Conference dusts off history looking for lessons

Less food production, soil and water loss, climate change and dust storms are very real problems Americans will have to face in the coming decades, warned environmental experts at a Wednesday conference.


Texas Tech professor Kevin Mulligan said there will be a rapid depletion of water availability in the Ogallala Aquifer in the Panhandle and the South Plains in the next 25 years.
