Texas Tech Political Science Department Hosts Simulated North/South Korea Negotiations with Experts from D.C.

WHAT:           Simulation of negotiations between North and South Korea conducted by the Korean Economic Institute of America, Washington, D.C. WHEN:           Noon- 4 p.m. Tuesday (March 2), and 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday (March 3) WHERE:         Tuesday at the Hall of Nations at the International Cultural Center, 601 Indiana Ave., Wednesday at the Matador Room of the Student Union Building on the Texas Tech campus EVENT:          More than 70 undergraduate political science students are expected to participate in a simulation of the six-party negotiations between North and South Korea conducted by the Korean Economic Institute of America. Nicole Fionnerman from the Korea Economic Institute of America in Washington, D.C., is an expert on South Korea and North Korea relations and will serve as moderator for the talks. On Wednesday, Fionnerman will be joined by Drew Thompson, director of China Studies for the Nixon Center in Washington, D.C., for a panel discussion on North Korea.
