UConn women courting a legacy

STORRS -- The signs of success at UConn were nonexistent when Geno Auriemma was hired as the women's basketball coach May 17, 1985. At 31 years old, he was a head coach for the first time at a place that had been a stranger to winning.


"There are at least two factors by which sports dynasties can be judged, in my view," said Alan Reifman, a professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Texas Tech and contributor for The Hot Hand in Sports Web site.
