Cary Clack: Exoneration came far too late for Cole

Last month, on the 10th anniversary of his death, Texas Tech, the university from which Cole never had a chance to graduate, announced that a $100,000 scholarship in his name was established at its law school with Blackburn contributing to the endowment.

It won't bring him back, salvage the dreams he had or undo the irreparable pain his family has endured for a quarter of a century, but let the words continue to be trumpeted: Timothy Cole was an innocent man.
