Studies show that drinking green tea reverses bone loss in different rat models of osteoporosis

One recent study published a study in the Journal of Nutrition and Biochemistry demonstrated the beneficial effects of consuming green tea in reversing bone loss in a rat model of chronic inflammation. In brief,  this study, lead by Dr. Chwan Li Shen at the University of Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas, involved administering green tea for several weeks to two groups of middle aged female rats that were either pretreated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to induce inflammation or with a placebo as a control.
