EL PASO -- To me, it's always seemed like the stuff that is best for your health is the worst tasting. Spinach, vegetables and broccoli. No thank you. Pizza, hamburgers and ice cream? Yes, please!
But there's one exception to this rule that is continuing to prove itself -- wine.
The most well-documented health benefit of wine is that moderate amounts of alcohol can actually raise your good cholesterol, also known as HDL cholesterol, and thin your blood. But the key here, as with the other health benefits of wine, is moderation. Any more than two drinks per day and you'll lose any health benefits, according to recent research.
