Texas Tech University Women’s Studies Program to Focus on Gender and Gender Identity Politics

Texas Tech University’s Women’s Studies Program will hold a public colloquium titled Intersecting Variance: Reading Gender & Gender Identity Politics. The free event runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 2 on the second floor of the Student Union Building. The colloquium highlights feminist research on gender and gender identity. Topics include gender and media, gender and political activism, cultural construction of gender and psychology of sex roles. Registration at the event begins at 8 a.m.  Pre-registration is encouraged but not required. Proof of attendance will be provided to those students attending the colloquium for course credit.
