Jacobo to receive Trailblazer award

A federal prosecutor and longtime Lubbock resident will receive this year’s Trailblazer Award from a local women’s organization.
The Women’s Studies Community Connection, a Lubbock-area support group for Texas Tech’s women’s studies program, will honor Paulina Jacobo from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the American State Bank Cafeteria, located at 1401 Ave. Q.
Jacobo is a Texas Tech graduate and Tech School of Law alumnus.
She currently serves as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Lubbock Division of the Northern District of Texas.
