Texas Tech recently received a grant from the National Science Foundation that will aid the advancement of student outreach programs.The $978,000 grant is to be used by the STEM Educational Outreach program at Tech, said Lawrence Schovanec, interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. The STEM program is designed as an outreach program directed towards students who are planning to study in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in their future college career.
