Student Leisure Pool Celebrates Grand Opening

Ribbon cutting ceremony will include food, giveaways, and live music.

The two-acre leisure pool complex features a lazy river, hot tub, water volleyball and basketball, as well as other amenities.

The Student Leisure Pool at the Robert H. Ewalt Student Recreation Center will host a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony, complete with food, prizes and live entertainment beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at the Leisure Pool south entrance.

Following the ceremony, guests can enjoy food, giveaways and live music by The Urgency, The Exit and Strange Weather. Free food and drinks will be provided by Sam’s Place Poolside.

A late-night swim will take place at the pool from 9 -11 p.m., and the 2nd annual Raider Power Run is set to begin at 9 p.m.

The ceremony will be open to the general public. Use of the facilities will be limited to members of the rec center. Tours will be available for those without a membership.
