Former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is planning a stop in Hobbs in September.
He'll be in town on September 10th to speak at the local Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Annual Banquet.
And during his stay in Southeastern New Mexico, Gonzales also plans to speak with Lea County seniors about the importance of going to College.
Gonzales won't have to travel too far to get to Hobbs.
Thursday was his first day on the job at Texas Tech as a Political Science Professor.
