Texas Tech plays North Dakota at 6 p.m. Saturday, September 5 at Jones AT&T Stadium. Texas Tech football fans can get an early taste of gridiron frenzy at a pep rally modeled after ESPN’s College GameDay at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 at Jones AT&T Stadium. Fans will meet the team captains and watch interviews with players as the Red Raiders gear up for Texas Tech’s season opener against North Dakota. Saddle Tramps, cheerleaders, pom squad members, mascots and the Goin’ Band from Raiderland will join Texas Tech President Guy Bailey, basketball coach Pat Knight, Lady Raiders basketball coach Kristy Curry and former basketball coach Bobby Knight in showing support for the team. Activities start at 5:30 p.m. when fans are invited to join the band in a Walk of Champions march from the Student Union Building to the stadium.
