BIC Looks At American Consumers And COOL

American consumers are very accepting of Canadian beef.

Glenn Brand, CEO of the Beef Information Centre, says that's what they found when they commissioned researchers at Texas Tech University to examine consumers' feelings about Country Of Origin Labeling.

He says there was a slight preference for US product, mainly due to bias toward domestic product, but overall, Americans enjoy Canadian beef.

Overall, American consumers had no negative misconceptions about Canadian beef.

The Beef Information Centre also commissioned Texas Tech to compare Canadian beef with American beef on all palatibility attributes.
