Texas Tech Sets Welcome Event for Veterans

Veterans, military students and their families invited to welcome event and information fair.
The welcome event for veteran and military students will be held Aug. 25 at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion.
Cong. Randy Neugebauer of Lubbock, Chancellor Kent Hance and President Guy Bailey will welcome veteran and military students to campus 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion. The event is sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.
About 400 veterans use G.I. benefits to pay for their education at Texas Tech. The welcome event is one of many things Texas Tech does that earned it a place on the 2010 list of Military Friendly Schools by G.I. Jobs magazine. The list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools which are doing the most to embrace America’s veterans as students.
