Texas Tech and Kaplan Bring Free College Readiness Workshop to Lubbock Community

High school juniors, seniors and their parents can attend a free college readiness
workshop at Texas Tech University sponsored by the Office of Admissions and Kaplan
Test Prep and Admissions.
The workshop will begin at 7:45 a.m. Sept. 19 in Lecture Hall 202 in the Rawls College
of Business Administration.
Included in the workshop are practice ACT and SAT combination tests with review of
the results; an ApplyTexas admission application session; a campus tour; and a Texas
Tech admissions, academics and student life session.
“Students will receive test-taking tips to help them earn their best score on both
the SAT and ACT and will learn what universities are looking for in applicants,” said
Toni Riley, admissions counselor.
