Texas Tech and Kaplan Bring Free College Readiness Workshop to Lubbock Community

Session will give students test-taking tips to improve standardized test scores.

Kaplan and Texas Tech to Host Workshop

The free workshop will be held Sept. 19 and is open to current high school juniors and seniors and their parents.

High school juniors, seniors and their parents can attend a free college readiness workshop at Texas Tech University sponsored by the Office of Admissions and Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions.

The workshop will begin at 7:45 a.m. Sept. 19 in Lecture Hall 202 in the Rawls College of Business Administration.

Included in the workshop are practice ACT and SAT combination tests with review of the results; an ApplyTexas admission application session; a campus tour; and a Texas Tech admissions, academics and student life session.

“Students will receive test-taking tips to help them earn their best score on both the SAT and ACT and will learn what universities are looking for in applicants,” said Toni Riley, admissions counselor.
