Although wind energy has gained a foothold on the High Plains, there still is work to be done if the region is to meet its potential.
Dr. Andy Swift, director of the Wind Science and Engineering Research Center at Texas Tech University, addressed some of the challenges facing the industry during the "Clearing the Air: The Facts about Alternative Energy" symposium on Friday.
