Michelle Obama has right touch with Queen Elizabeth

“There’s an appropriate comfortableness about the Obamas when they’re reacting to world leaders and obviously when they’re reacting to royalty,” said Richard Verrone, a history expert on pop culture and 20th-century America at Texas Tech University. “It’s a positive for the United States. I don’t see it as any kind of negative.”

It always helps to have the right touch, and the Obamas apparently do.

America’s first couple has rocked the Group of 20 summit of world leaders in London with two simple gestures: a gift to the queen of England of a loaded iPod, which many saw as quite touching, and a literal touching of the British monarch by Michelle Obama that has gotten as much press as her wardrobe.
