Texas Tech to be Recognized for Commitment to UIL

WHAT:           Luncheon celebrating Texas Tech University's commitment to UIL WHEN:           Noon Wednesday (Jan. 21) WHERE:         Jones AT&T Stadium, Club Level      EVENT:          University Interscholastic League at Austin Executive Director Bill Farney will recognize Texas Tech for its commitment to athletic and academic UIL activities. Texas Tech has been helping host regional athletic and academic UIL competitions for more than 50 years. The University Interscholastic League was created by The University of Texas at Austin to provide leadership and guidance to public school debate and athletic teachers. The UIL is celebrating its 100^th year this year and has grown into the largest inter-school organization of its kind in the world.
