Family and Consumer Sciences Department Hosts Presentations

The Northwest Association of Family and Consumer Sciences presents Rising Stars in a Global Society, a series of presentations by rising stars at Texas Tech University.

WHAT: Rising Stars in a Global Community WHEN: 10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 15) WHERE: Student Union Matador Room EVENT: The Northwest Association of Family and Consumer Sciences presents Rising Stars in a Global Society, a series of presentations by rising stars at Texas Tech University. San Juanita Dominguez, student assistant at the Child Development Research Center, will share her experience working with disadvantaged children in Peru; and Nancy Shepherd, research associate in family consumer sciences, will present an innovative traveling resource for use in the classroom. Rosa Hernandez-Sheets will provide the keynote address titled, "Diversity Pedagogy: Making Learning Opportunities Accessible." Following the keynote address, guests can take a tour of the Child Development Research Center at Texas Tech.
