Written by: Jessica BehnhamThe Texas Tech University Library offers subject librarians who are experienced in each discipline to assist students in finding information. Personal librarians are available for every field of study and college on campus. The personal librarian is one of many of the Libraries' services that will be announced throughout the academic year as part of an ongoing awareness campaign: Forget what you think you know. Rediscover the Library. Librarians can be contacted during the day by e-mail, telephone or personal appointment. The librarians' areas of expertise include every topic from math to maps, as well as more specific topics like wind engineering, environmental toxicology, Asian studies and leadership. Experts are also available to provide background information on different topics to the media. For a full list of subject librarians and topics or for more information on how to access a personal librarian, visit www.library.ttu.edu/ul/instruction/cntctinfo.php.
