This is the third summer in a row students have taught horsemanship clinics abroad.
Four students from the Department of Animal and Food Sciences gained valuable international experience this summer as they taught a series of special horsemanship clinics in Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
“It was a great experience for the students to learn how to teach the skills they have learned in the Ranch Horse Program here at Texas Tech,” said Kris Wilson, who serves as coach of the award-winning Ranch Horse Team and an assistant professor of animal and food sciences department. “Having the opportunity to do that internationally with a culture and language barrier was difficult, but rewarding.”
