This year, Channel 5 is offering Star Sponsorships for companies who want exposure
for their business throughout a night of pledging. Companies can sponsor a night of
Festival 2008 for $1,000. On the night of sponsorship, the company will provide the
five phone bank volunteers and at least one host, all sporting the company’s logo.
Star Sponsors will be recognized on-air as an underwriter for at least two shows airing
that night. Plus they will receive exposure on-air for 10-minute live breaks between
each 15-30 minute segment of programming from 5:30–10:30 p.m. Prior to the pledge
drive, Star sponsors will receive numerous promotional spots. Star sponsors also will
receive print recognition in the Program Guide mailed to 1,500 members.
Companies who care about public television and want to support the station’s outreach
projects in the community, which focus on children, education, literacy and health,
our local productions and PBS programming, can form a team to raise money for KTXT-TV.
Companies can hold a book sale, car wash, bake sale or offer a portion of company
sales for a period of time, for example. Each team can present its check on the air.
Channel 5 will also be happy to showcase individual or company donations nightly during
the pledge drive when they support public television programming as a $500 Studio
Club sponsor or a $250 Patron sponsor. Anyone who joins the KTXT-TV family for $35
per year can receive a monthly members-only Program Guide in the mail.
