The Texas Tech University Libraries will host coach Bob Knight at the opening reception of its exhibit titled, "A Legacy of Giving: The Bob Knight Exhibit," at 5:30 p.m Thursday (Nov. 29) in the library’s Croslin Room.

The multimedia exhibit, designed by Lubbock-based Design Envy, will feature objects from Knight’s life and work; 16 seven-foot color panels portraying different stages of his career; and video clips from his first press conference at Texas Tech, ESPN’s "Knight School" and post-game celebration of his 880th career win. The exhibit will be open to the public through February.

Since his arrival in Lubbock six years ago, Knight has helped the library raise more than $300,000 through the Coach Bob Knight Library Fund, nearly a third of the way to his goal of $1 million.

The exhibit is free and open to the public during the library’s regular hours— 7 a.m. to 2 a.m., Monday through Thursday; 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., Sunday.
