Texas Tech University System Board of Regents Set Swearing-In Ceremony

WHAT: Swearing-in ceremony for new board members

WHEN: 11 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 9)

WHERE: Board of Regents meeting room, second floor, Administration Building

EVENT: The four men appointed last month by Gov. Rick Perry to the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents will be sworn in. John Field Scovell and Jerry E. Turner will be sworn in as new members of the Board of Regents. L. Frederick "Rick" Francis has been reappointed to a full six-year term. Bob Stafford has been reappointed to fill the unexpired term of the late J. Frank Miller III.

The Board will go into executive session immediately following the ceremony.
