Texas Tech Equestrians Win Honors, Prepare for Upcoming Competitions

Texas Tech Equestrian Team members won honors Sunday in the Intercollegiate Hunt Seat Competition and Regional Championships at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Colorado.

Texas Tech University Equestrian Team members Julia Lindholm and Alexandra Miller were awarded Reserve Regional Champion honors Sunday in the Intercollegiate Hunt Seat Competition and Regional Championships at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Colorado.

Alexandra Miller and Ashley Wilmer were awarded first place ribbons for their rides in the Novice Fences division and Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter division, respectively.

Lindholm and Miller will represent the team in March at the Hunt Seat Zones competition hosted by West Texas A&M University, where they will compete for an opportunity to show at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championships in Massachusetts.

The team also will compete Feb. 17-18 in a Western show hosted by the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Neb. The Western Team currently ranks second in region team standings.
