Hispanic Convocation 2006 to Honor Texas Tech Graduates

LUBBOCK – The Texas Tech University Raiders Rojos will host Hispanic Convocation 2006 at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Red Raider Ballroom of the Student Union Building. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will honor graduates of Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. The convocation will feature speakers Dr. Juan Munoz, special assistant to the president for diversity, and Dr. German Nunez, vice president of the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

A reception will follow the ceremony.

Raiders Rojos seeks to promote the retention and graduation attainment of Hispanic students within the Texas Tech University System by providing a strong support system that includes scholarship, mentoring and networking opportunities.
