LUBBOCK – Sex, Violence, and Horses will be the theme of a 24-hour marathon reading featuring members of the Texas Tech and Lubbock communities. The event, which is sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society at Texas Tech University, will raise money for the Lubbock Coalition for Literacy and Lubbock Public Library.

The 24-hour reading begins Friday, Feb. 10, at 3 p.m. and ends at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.

This year’s theme, Sex, Violence, and Horses: Who Knew Reading Could Be This Fun?!, features stories from the Texas Tech University Southwest Collection.

Free food and prizes will be available throughout the event, which is open to the public.
