LUBBOCK – The Business Career Management Center at Texas Tech Wednesday received The Sherwin-Williams Award of Excellence, an honor given to select universities throughout the country for providing exceptional career and education guidance.
The selection committee considers many universities and the Texas Tech Career Management Center was chosen because of its long-standing partnership with Sherwin-Williams, said Robert Shindell, director of the Career Management Center at the Rawls College of Business.
Shindell said the award symbolizes the commitment the center has toward preparing future business leaders.
“This is a tremendous honor and to be among the ranks of some of the finest colleges of business in the country speaks highly of our faculty, staff, and students,” he said. “We will continue to build on that foundation of excellence as we prepare our students for exceptional service in their field.”
Sherwin-Williams operates more than 3,000 company-owned stores across the United States. The company finished 2005 with sales in excess of $7 billion.
