LUBBOCK – The Texas Tech University College of Education will honor its December 2005
graduates at a Pinning & Medallion Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the
Merket Alumni Center.
“The Pinning and Medallion Ceremony is our way to let our family of graduates know
how proud we are of their accomplishments before we send them off with a degree,”
said Sheryl Santos, dean of the College of Education.
College of Education students who will be receiving a bachelor’s degree will be presented
with a commemorative College of Education Pin. Students who will be receiving a master's
or doctoral degree will be presented with a commemorative medallion.
Each student has asked a faculty member to present them with their respective award.
Dean Sheryl Santos will pay tribute to the students as they become alumni of the College
of Education. An explanation of university regalia will also be part of the program.
