LUBBOCK – Rajinder Koul, Ph.D., professor and chairman of the Department of Speech-Language
and Hearing Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, recently was
elected a fellow of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
The fellowship is a public declaration of outstanding professional achievements and
is given to members who have made outstanding contribution to the profession. The
award, one of the highest honors the association can bestow, is retained for life.
Koul was honored for his accomplishments in the areas of research and teaching.
“We are fortunate to have Dr. Koul among the top-notch faculty here in the School
of Allied Health Sciences,” said Paul Brooke, Ph.D., dean of the school. “He is highly
deserving of this prestigious honor.”
Koul will be honored in a formal ceremony during the annual American Speech-Language
Hearing Association convention in San Diego in November.
