DOAK SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO 22 STUDENTS AT TEXAS TECH

LUBBOCK – Texas Tech University's Department of Housing and Residence Life recently awarded the 2005 Mary W. Doak Housing and Residence Life Scholarship to 22 students. The $1,000 scholarships are to help pay for on-campus housing for upper-class students.

The students are:

• Matt Aaron of Clarendon, sophomore majoring in pre-nursing;
• Rami Abumustafa of Houston, sophomore majoring in pre-optometry;
• Erica Andrews of The Woodlands, junior majoring in sociology;
• Amber Beatty of Midland, freshman majoring in communication studies;
• Tara Bratovich of Spring, senior majoring in early childhood education;
• Jennifer Bunner of Kalispell, Mont., junior majoring in international economics;
• Courtney Bunner of Kalispell, Mont., junior majoring in economics;
• Tara Butterfield of Katy, sophomore majoring in history;
• Betty Daniel of Houston, sophomore majoring in pre-pharmacy;
• Ashley Estes of Midland, senior majoring in animal science;
• Clay Harris of Abilene, sophomore majoring in English;
• Emily Hess of Dallas, sophomore majoring in restaurant/hotel management;
• Jamee Higgins of Midland, junior majoring in accounting;
• Cade Hodgson of Sugar Land, senior majoring in chemical engineering;
• Lauren Kaminski of Waller, senior majoring in music education;
• Francis Loko of Amherst, N.Y., junior majoring in petroleum engineering;
• Stephanie Lomeli of Houston, sophomore majoring in biochemistry;
• Christopher Miller of San Antonio, sophomore majoring in management information systems;
• Nancy Sandoval of San Antonio, sophomore majoring in wildlife management;
• Marissa Spears of Albuquerque, N. M., senior majoring in architecture;
