2017 Homecoming King, Queen Crowned at Texas Tech vs. Iowa State Game

Ryan Hawkins of Hobbs, N.M., and Casey Fleming of San Antonio were crowned Texas Tech University’s 2017 homecoming king and queen during the halftime show of the Texas Tech vs. Iowa State game Saturday (Oct. 21) at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The 2016 homecoming king and queen, Holt Lamberson of Lubbock and Payton Cassidy of Gainesville, were present during the ceremony. Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec and his wife, Patty, crowned the winners.

Hawkins, a senior finance major, represents Beta Upsilon Chi and Fleming a senior human development and family studies major, represents Pi Beta Phi.

The student body voted for the winners after the homecoming court was announced Friday (Oct. 20) at the Rowdy Raider Rally at the Student Union Building.
