Fall events at The YMCA's Downtown Writers Center: CNY books and authors

Syracuse - The YMCA's Downtown Writers Center is set to deliver great programming for writers and readers this fall. As we transition between the seasons, the DWC is also offering new transitional writing programs between their summer and fall schedules. "Ear Training for Writers: Timing and Musicality"will be taught by Eric Berlin on Saturday, Sept. 16 and "Prompts to Get You Through" with Georgia Popoff will be held on Mondays, Sept. 18 and 25. The deadline for registration is Sept. 12.

Additionally, The YMCA's Downtown Writers Center continues to host great author events for readers and writers to enjoy. On Friday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m. poet Chen Chen will be doing a reading as part of the "Visiting Author" series. The author has an MFA from Syracuse University and is currently pursuing a PhD in English and Creative Writing at Texas Tech University.
