Big Bend Now - The Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center (www.cdri.org) will present its spring Conant Distinguished Lecture Series on Thursday, April 20, 2017. This year's speaker is world-renowned atmospheric scientist Dr. Katharine Hayhoe.

Katharine Hayhoe is an associate professor at Texas Tech University, where she is director of the Climate Science Center. She is the co-author of A Climate for Change: Global Warming Facts for Faith-Based Decisions.   She presents a bi-weekly program "Global Weirding" which can be accessed on both Facebook and YouTube. She presented at the U.N. Paris Climate Summit in 2015 and, she was featured in National Geographic's series "Years of Living Dangerously."
