Discover Texas Tech: College of Education
The College of Education at Texas Tech University is home to more than 2,200 students. Producing an average
of 500 new teachers a year, the College prides itself on changing the way future educators
influence tomorrow's leaders. It's home to the largest children's literature collection
in the Southwest and the Burkhart Center for Autism and Research, which provides services for individuals with autism and their families. The College
of Education also offers unique programs to prepare teachers, such as TechTeach and TechTeach Across Texas.
"When you leave our program, you will be confident," said Scott Ridley, dean of the College of Education. "You'll know that you're making a difference and you're actually going to enjoy the job because you've been prepared."
